I Wish the game wouldn't freak out when I try to change back and forth between dragons. It only let's me switch dragons once. Btw, will there ever be a chance we could get the diaper system as an asset pack for Unity? I love how it functions. Maybe other indie devs could use it for their own diaper systems. Maybe improve it.
Right now I think unity is on the way out unless they do a 180 over this mess. I have been encouraging people not tied down to an existing project to Godot.
Releasing a pack like that would just encourage people to pick up a engine whose management sold just about all the good-will it built up for years in favor of sudden predatory license changes.
what about unreal engine 5? people have done some incredible things with it, but I'm not sure if there's anything else wrong with epic games other than releasing the abomination known as fortnite
Indie devs that want to jumpship to Unreal over this mess haven't run the numbers. Unreal is far more expensive and it isn't as well suited for small time indie work on the side. Unity, monogame, GMS and Godot are better suited for that.
Yes, overall the changes were decent and it's good to see are finally getting rid of plus with the removal of the splash screen requirement for unity personal and doubling the amount you can earn before you need q plan.
Smalltime mobile devs were certainly targeted with the september changes and I completely get why they are still upset. I find it puzzling that there are still indie devs that actually want to jump to Unreal since their agreements have always been far worse then Unitys even with the September changes. Glad to see Godot picking up steam with this SNAFU.
incredibly slow. work isn't letting up and I got hit with a 55 hour last week. There are a lot of new assets and a better codebase but we are looking at the end of the year to really put things together for a alpha 2.0 build
the only one that I'm aware of is a complete remaster of depravity quest, which will have a very similar evolution to dwarf fortress, the game it was based on, the current DQ has simple dots and rp text much like how dwarf fortress was like when it started, but the new DQ will have 2.5d graphics if my train of thought it correct, and may have actual cinematic cutscenes and smaller animations for things like wetting and messing
don't quote me on any of this because I only remember all that vaguely and I'm not very certain to begin with
Nah the alpha 2 build of depravity quest had a sprite based graphics engine like the commercial build of dwarf fortress. There was tons of kinks I needed to work out and I only created 25% of the sprites I needed for a public before the pandemic made my life a nightmare for a solid two years. I was basically working 60 hours a week for while dealing with the lost of two loved one and had a clout obsessed content creator try to cancel me with the usual effective lies they come up with on social media.
I knew everyone was going through hard times during the pandemic but holy crap, lost two loved ones and around the time kircai was going after you? I would've never gotten back on my feet if that happened to me. well I'm glad to see that you're still pulling through, DQ wasn't my cup of tea anyway so I won't complain
Oh ha, I suppose that deranged dude also tried to cancel me with that blind n-bomb claim. The one I refered to was this clout chaser that peaked too early and has been dwindling since and did that whole ted talk cancel attempt because some troll he mistakenly thought was me said a bunch of stupid crap that hit true to him.
The funny thing is I was on his side prior to that and I warned him he could go down that sort of path if he didn't touch grass.
The model's aren't final and I have been experimenting with shading so there is a good chance they will end up looking more distinct down the line, but my focus is on soggy horror atm.
oh ok, I do recall there being a feminine-looking dragon on the 2d art for shemmy's quest, so that must be what the big dragon is supposed to look like
and I completely understand, I, for one, can't even put 1 and 1 together in godot engine (though I plan to move to unreal 5 like everyone else) so I'm 100% aware how difficult it is to crunch numbers and do all that other game dev stuff
andddddd purchased!!! I can’t play it yet cause I’ve had no internet for the past few weeks but I’ll definitely try to download it if I can. Keep up the good work Hodge!
A friend of mine recommended this, and I had a lot of fun with it. Definitely a fun take on Spyro-type games, especially with the added bonus of diapers.
It took me some effort, but I eventually did find everything, excluding the two coins that were off the beaten path. I also found a glitch where swapping sizes caused my pamp to disappear.
If I were to recommend anything to add, I would suggest having swimming causing the diapers to swell up with water.
Ya those last two are really hard to find. I did two runs of it. only thing I didn't really like is the tail winds just over powering the dragon's movement completely, maybe just slow down if you're going against it or speeding up if you're going with it.
this little dragon was sleepy after i re do the challeng taking my time 28 min after i found all i keep play just for fun till i hit 85:15 i like that small game
guessing it's my PC but couldn't actually play the game as soon as i double click and launch the process the only thing that happened like with the tech demo for Soggy Horror was RAM usage just started jumping up i closed it this time before it crashed my pc
This is better than I expected, although I thought it was an April fools thing so that's not surprising lol. The movement felt nice (although a bit slow for the size of the map), and from what I explored the collectables were fun to seek out (If I played seriously I would probably lose it looking for the last few coins though, but they didn't feel deviously hidden). I particularly liked the way one diaper was hidden beneath the water with the coin floating on top. Overall, pretty enjoyable. Also, flying through rings to stop a Lex from winning? I see what you did there, I love it!
I'm definitely giving the dragons a speed boost going forward. I was worried maps this big wouldn't play nice with some people's system, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Personally I wouldn't do the all coin 256 challenge as there are 2 spots in retrospective I felt strayed too far from the routing I suggested to the player.
I will honor it. There are two coins I felt were poorly placed and you need an incredibly sharp eye to spot them while you are being routed around the island. DM me on FA or Discord and I will give you a game key of either Soggy Horror or this game.
As far of development goes I am working on abimation controller and level stuff for both this and SH and have another dragon and level in the work for this game. SH I am improving existing levels and doing cloth and tail physics stuff.
I want to do that for both Soggy Horror and it's SDQ side project with decent animation. It does require a bit of legwork that I am currently putting off a bit longer for foundational stuff.
my computer didn't download the game as it thought it detected a virus. I do trust you, but my computer telling me this makes me understandably conflicted. I do hope you understand.
thanks for the explanation! I'm a big fan of your work and I have seen comments about peoples computers not installing some of your work because antivirus. :)

I bought this but It want me to buy it again m
nah, it's just the itch.io browser being silly either download the app or go to your games page under your account to get around that.
Does this game have some game-over scenes or health bars?
not at this time
Okay.

I guess that makes sense. They seem to be aware of their backlash, though, and might change their mind. We can only hope.

well ig I'll be adding godot back to my steam library, pretty much all pc gamers care more about high fps than hyper-realistic graphics anyways
they seem to have made some good changes recently to their previous plan. Did you read their open letter?

So how goes development at this stage?

oh that was fetimation then, right? for some reason I thought kircai went after you first
put the review in the wrong place and didn't even realize it til 2 months later
any chance we'll see dragon types that are more feminine?
The model's aren't final and I have been experimenting with shading so there is a good chance they will end up looking more distinct down the line, but my focus is on soggy horror atm.

so you had to play as the dragon?
Yup, that's the premise. However, the character controller built is flexable enough to do other feral models and humanoids as either pc or npc.
I go with npcs
and completely done in 20 min again i just play around too see wht new
andddddd purchased!!! I can’t play it yet cause I’ve had no internet for the past few weeks but I’ll definitely try to download it if I can. Keep up the good work Hodge!

have too agreed with you but besides that it's a adorable game
i get extremely hype for the release

They got nerfed. Many of them had their force rate set way too high.
this little dragon was sleepy after i re do the challeng taking my time 28 min after i found all i keep play just for fun till i hit 85:15 i like that small game
Giving you a free copy of this or Soggy Horror for running the world's first sleepy%. Just DM me on Twitter or FA with the one you want.
ok gonna be pretty easy send u shortly look your fa note
guessing it's my PC but couldn't actually play the game as soon as i double click and launch the process the only thing that happened like with the tech demo for Soggy Horror was RAM usage just started jumping up i closed it this time before it crashed my pc
yeah, you will want a relatively modern pc with these two
This is better than I expected, although I thought it was an April fools thing so that's not surprising lol. Submitting as record of my defeat. After 20 more minutes of searching I found a single other coin, but I'm admitting defeat to the final coin.
I will honor it. There are two coins I felt were poorly placed and you need an incredibly sharp eye to spot them while you are being routed around the island. DM me on FA or Discord and I will give you a game key of either Soggy Horror or this game.

i like that game ngl can't wait to see the progress and could be fun having a keyboard touch too potty manual
I want to do that for both Soggy Horror and it's SDQ side project with decent animation. It does require a bit of legwork that I am currently putting off a bit longer for foundational stuff.
yea not have a screen shot but i have found the 24 12 254 coins in 20 min was sleepy wen i finish but i remeber see 20 min
This was lovely, thank you for making it!
my computer didn't download the game as it thought it detected a virus. I do trust you, but my computer telling me this makes me understandably conflicted. I do hope you understand.
oh ffs unity. What picked it up? defender?
Overly aggressive 7z compression is probably what triggered defender. I will be migrating to .rar as this is the 2nd time defender threw a fit.
thanks for the explanation! I'm a big fan of your work and I have seen comments about peoples computers not installing some of your work because antivirus. :)
