Hello, could you help me? I downloaded the game Alpha 2.0.3 but the screen goes black when I start playing, you can hear the sound when I jump but you can't see anything, the graphics and the resolution are low but the screen still goes black and I wanted to know if any way to play the game please thank you.
I'm sorry I don't quite follow. Do you mean the screen fades completely to black when it loads the elevator room? Sounds like your GPU is not getting along with the game but I'm unsure exactly what you are experiencing.
The same issue is happening to me what is happening is after the loading screen is finished and we press any key we dont load in we just see a black screen but are able too move still
I don't know if its just my computer being garbage (which is weird since it was able to load the last version (unless this new one is really that taxing) but, with this new one even on lower settings it will only load so far and crash
alpha 2 uses a newer version of the urp graphic pipeline then alpha 1. The trade off of this is altough it fixes a lot of my complaints that I had with it in 2022 it is also very unfriendly to aging GPUs.

Well, this was certainly an interesting update. Tons of graphical improvements, and I like the change of movement. one minor problem I had was that when you entered either Bella's or Ginny's room you couldn't leave. only way to leave was exiting the game.
Yup. That's due is tied to the save system since its trying to load some stuff in the elevator room that isn't correctly updated since I decided to add a few extra assets to the two rooms there.
Itch has a very weird way of saying you own games basically it dosnt what you do is you click on the buy button and somewhere on the purchase screen will be an I already paid for this at the bottom click on that type the email that you bought it with and they should send you a download link through email
im having a bit of an issue it seems i shrunk down the window screen to size to where there nothing i can do but minimize it, close or move it around, how do i get the window screen back to normal size (wont let me maximize it)
Is there a way to limit the FPS in the game? Running it makes my computer run hot no matter what graphics settings I use, and the usual fix is locking the FPS to 60, but there doesn't seem to be an option.
Edit: I was able to cap the FPS through Nvidia, so it's all good!
Just curious, what's the Teddy Bear in the crib with the jumpscare supposed to do, I try to interact with it but nothing happens. Not looking for spoilers, just wanting to know if it's a bug or if I'm missing something
when it's done :P it will start getting worked on after the switch to the alpha 2 system codework. the protagonist and all the cultists now have accidents over time with pearl and rea having the ability to get changed just without the cutscene and anim work yet

This weekend. I am not sure what you mean by the two models. There is one playable character (rea) and 8 cultists with another on the way thats about 70% done. All character models got updated for the halloween and bella and rea are getting additional tweaks when I get hone from work.
The 4 test stages and show room are getting minor tweaks as well and I am adding a few props and music tracks that missed the halloween update
bunch of new prop items with the liquid shader being used on the sippy cup, new cottage to the right, the new mirror shader, first pass of the magazines that will eventually become collectables and the model updates with them now head tracking the player and having tail breast and ear physics.
And I really want to urge you to update your game. It’s been 282 days since I got the game, but I still haven’t seen the actual game content update. Although I really want to continue waiting in silence, it’s really been too long.

The page won't let me download the latest build without paying again. Is that supposed to be how it works? Cuz I was under the impression that this works like Steam Early Access where you buy the game before it's done and get to play every new build without paying again.

This is actually a problem with itch.io. After purchasing some games, it will still show that you have not purchased and need to purchase again. However, in fact, there is a small pop-up window at the top of the page telling you to own the game and download it.
My bad on that one. I will have to patch it. There were a few silly things I overlooked to meet the deadline. Thankfully everything so far found is an easy fix.
I will be working on that shortly after the upgrade to the alpha 2 codebase. I did compile halloween 2023 with its 4 maps and its showcase room. Check the downloads for the link since it's bigger then itch.io allows.
They were never compiled and it takes several hours to compile the shader variations1.2 was the tech demo with a very early version of maddie and some stage work. 1.3 was the improved graphical pipeline with meg and the first pass of the new models with improved animation capabilities. 1.4 came shortly after with ms.anthropy (the witch cat that will have projectile based attacks later.)
So for some reason it still wont launch on my main Windows PC (doesnt launch just starts consuming RAM) although I was able to play it on a spare PC running Linux using WINE but it was at abysmal framerates
I belive Halloween 2022 worked i know the alpha 1.1 works fine gpu is a MSI Radeon R9 390 8G Gaming cpu is a AMD Phenom II X4 925 and GPU is on the latest driver which is from 6/23/2022 and there is no new drivers unless I want to mess with modded ones as the card is considered a legacy card by AMD now

yup. The locker is glitched in that map however on the 11/5 pre RC build

You will need to look up how to reset your config on your operating system if you can not correct it yourself.
for most people's system its generally going to be C:/[accountName]/appdata/locallow/SoggyHorror.
Just nuke it.
tried that to, it didnt work, but i was able to fix it by putting to full screen with alt + enter

There's an odd temple that appears after I push one (as far as I know) but there isn't anything inside
And a locker shows up near the beginning but if I open it the game freezes
those two are placeholdera. The temple is there atm as a godray light test.

I'm assuming that you've already caught this but in the new build, you can't return to the main menu from the pause menu.
Also, I know that the lighter is supposed to be a last resort but currently I feel that it gives out too little light to be useful.
yup caught. The lighter actually is getting buffed in alpha 2 and I'm dropping the dual use with the lantern since it's silly.

It seems to be a bug, the game shows buy for 10 USD, but if you scroll to the top it shows how long ago you purchased it with a download link.

not sure if computer issue or if its normal to take this long, or an error but its taking a long time to load or i'm stuck on the scene loading screen
what level are you attempting to load?
i tried loading the showcase room and Halloween cemetery and showcase and nothing but endless loading it seems though i was able to load the cellar

I too have this problem loading the cemetery and the showcase from the file from the text file link. All the others load fine.
The Halloween Small file loads fine if that helps anything.

I'm assuming that this is a symptom of these being single level compiles but I'd just like to note that if you die, you can't respawn.

sounds like your gpu driver isn't playing nice with 2023. Did halloween 2022 work and what is your gpu and when was driver last updated?
Game runs fine, its %100 hardware limitations

I am going with hardware since if my memory serves that gpu is creeping up on being 8 years old. I don't think a custom driver will help
