My main complaint with the current build and previous ones, are how random and annoying Thorns AI is. Sometimes she just rushes you down, others she'll stop when stared at. On top of that, she is INSANELY fast. I get that this is a horror game and she's supposed to chase you, but she's inescapable, and if she doesn't stop when stared at, it's a guaranteed game over. At the very least, make her slightly slower than the sprint and add in a stamina bar.
She has a messing mechanic. If she needs a change, she will charge you aggressively. Just press 'E' when next to her. It's still risky, but it puts her back into the weeping angel type behavior where she stops when you are looking at her.
Yeah, she is getting nerfed across the board. I am slowing her down, making her hit less hard and making her completely ease off once you stare her down for a few seconds rather then forcing the player to ease off themselves while looking at her. I am keeping her difficult but she is considered over kill right now.
I personally don't find her too too hard. I agree she could use a bit of a nerf, but the only thing that really bothered me with her so far is that sometimes she will have another accident right after you change her.
I had her in her aggressive mode chasing me, so I let her get close enough to change her. Then I was only able to back a few paces away before she had an accident again and resumed chasing me. So, perhaps a delay should be added that prevents her from messing right after she is changed? Either way, it's still an interesting experience.
Yeah I plan on keeping her difficult but she does have some rough corners that need to be shaved. The accident system currently allows cultists to mess and wet a 2nd time zthe tldr means there are 2 counters at around 3 to 4 minutes that are always counting down and can over lap like you experienced.
The aggro when she needs a change is a recent addition when I found her too easy and predictable and that issue is an easy enough fix for the next patch.
A bit of an update, I managed to find the keys, but there seems to be an issue. The master key is single use, but there are multiple doors that use it.
Yup, That issue is known and is not intentional. the doors that use that key need a flag to not consume the key on use. as is with some items being mislabeled on the text prompt when you pick them up. quite a few have the diaper pack prompt and I haven't prioritize it yet as I want to make sure the final area plays well and isn't needlessly cruel since Thorn is already really pushing it.
The other known issue is there are a few objects that need flags corrected for the save system to work as built. That will likely be ironed out a bit after Halloween since it has always been extremely fickle.
Is there supposed to be any kind of "prize" at the end? I managed to get down to the restroom but found not much else (other than a certain familiar tall girl)
My one complaint is that I feel like the save system needs to work(it keeps giving me a black screen when trying to load) , or else the game is extremely difficult.
the save system doesn't currently function, there's still some issues preventing that. As for the difficulty, I imagine being able to load from a saved position will help.
Just a heads up. One of the doors that opens with the common key has two doors in the frame. One will unlock, the other doesn't unlock. I somehow manages to get two common key and one of the doors will not open with it.
It's the room closest to nursery room with the flashlight. I do understand it is still an alpha, but I figured I would let you know regardless. Great work as of yet.

You did a grate progression from the 2.0.3 to 2.1, developing a game is quite demanding for the time you spend on it, so, congratulation for your progress but, I have my questions.
For the accident system, you will add sounds when one of the cultists wet herself?. And, you will add sounds when you/they change their/your diaper? like diaper crinkle and diaper tapes sounds.
Idk if is already added in previous versions but, our main character will have integrated the accident system and we must change ourself or ask a cultist or passive npc to help us?

The 2.1 is currently 6 stages with passive NPCs. The focus was on updating every single character model, expanding the accident system and lipsyncing then optimizing the game so it takes less space and runs better (minus ginny's area which is currently getting improved)
Hostile enemies and larger areas are coming back in 2.2.
I'm loving the games progress so far. Though in this update when inside Ginny's Complex, it's destroying my framerate for some reason. (18-34fps) Everywhere else it's golden. (100fps+) On previous versions Alpha 2.0.2 and Alpha 2.0.3. I never encountered this problem.
I disabled shadows in that area and it helped and went up to 36-54fps. Though it was still very erratic between those two numbers, so not smooth.
Now I have two kinda beefy rigs and get almost max settings on both. In game it ranges from 108-120fps and 128-144fps in 4K depending on which PC. It's just Ginny's Complex where it drops below 34fps.
I'd also like to ask if there be character/s more focused on watersports vs scat? Like if some prefer one over the other? Just curious.

The lighting was updated on Ginnys mansion however two of the prefabs received bad settings causing performance issues. I recently corrected That and rebaked the whole scene. it will be less demanding next release.
trying to download Alpha 2.0.3 and it’s not working. I don’t know why I’m downloading it. I have zip seven and I open it in there and I tried to press the game and it says system error code extraction can proceed because unity player dill was not found and I don’t know what
Really good update here! It fixed a crashing upon startup issue i had with the previous couple versions and I really like the new cultist Charlene. amazing work as always.
I have been working on it whenever I can. I appreciate everyone's patience on it and I plan to compile one of the tests we do during our work streams soon.
Is there a way to limit the FPS in the game? Running it makes my computer run hot no matter what graphics settings I use, and the usual fix is locking the FPS to 60, but there doesn't seem to be an option.
Edit: I was able to cap the FPS through Nvidia, so it's all good!

This weekend. I am not sure what you mean by the two models. There is one playable character (rea) and 8 cultists with another on the way thats about 70% done. All character models got updated for the halloween and bella and rea are getting additional tweaks when I get hone from work.
The 4 test stages and show room are getting minor tweaks as well and I am adding a few props and music tracks that missed the halloween update
bunch of new prop items with the liquid shader being used on the sippy cup, new cottage to the right, the new mirror shader, first pass of the magazines that will eventually become collectables and the model updates with them now head tracking the player and having tail breast and ear physics.
And I really want to urge you to update your game. It’s been 282 days since I got the game, but I still haven’t seen the actual game content update. Although I really want to continue waiting in silence, it’s really been too long.

This is actually a problem with itch.io. After purchasing some games, it will still show that you have not purchased and need to purchase again. However, in fact, there is a small pop-up window at the top of the page telling you to own the game and download it.
My bad on that one. I will have to patch it. There were a few silly things I overlooked to meet the deadline. Thankfully everything so far found is an easy fix.
I will be working on that shortly after the upgrade to the alpha 2 codebase. I did compile halloween 2023 with its 4 maps and its showcase room. Check the downloads for the link since it's bigger then itch.io allows.
They were never compiled and it takes several hours to compile the shader variations1.2 was the tech demo with a very early version of maddie and some stage work. 1.3 was the improved graphical pipeline with meg and the first pass of the new models with improved animation capabilities. 1.4 came shortly after with ms.anthropy (the witch cat that will have projectile based attacks later.)

loading a save loads the dark screen

It doesn't seem that I can get the 2.2 version. Itch.io is only letting me have Alpha 2.1 and the old build files.

yup. That room had a duplicate door that was causing issues with that room. It has since been fixed.

Yes, player accidents and changing is getting expanding on and coming back in the Halloween update.

You can't run the game within 7zip. Please extract the game folder to your primary hard drive and run the .exe from there.
Trying to download the strip club demo and the alpha 1 trailer just redirects me to download the 2.1 Alpha, is there something I'm missing?

Great work so far. I ran into a few issues however..
Floor 1, I was chased, but nothing happens when caught up to aside for being pulled from whatever hiding position I entered if they were close enough.
Floor 4, upon returning to the elevator, it was gone and I fell through the world.
Floor 5, I fell through the world near the very back of the room

There's an odd temple that appears after I push one (as far as I know) but there isn't anything inside
And a locker shows up near the beginning but if I open it the game freezes

I'm assuming that you've already caught this but in the new build, you can't return to the main menu from the pause menu.
Also, I know that the lighter is supposed to be a last resort but currently I feel that it gives out too little light to be useful.
yup caught. The lighter actually is getting buffed in alpha 2 and I'm dropping the dual use with the lantern since it's silly.

It seems to be a bug, the game shows buy for 10 USD, but if you scroll to the top it shows how long ago you purchased it with a download link.

what level are you attempting to load?
i tried loading the showcase room and Halloween cemetery and showcase and nothing but endless loading it seems though i was able to load the cellar

I too have this problem loading the cemetery and the showcase from the file from the text file link. All the others load fine.
The Halloween Small file loads fine if that helps anything.

shader variations by far. Everytime I update URP it means 3-4 hours of compiling them.
